The young black/brown stallion, Roulette, was bred by Herr Bernhard Engelmann in West Germany and imported by Rosewood Hanoverians in 1997. Roulette represents the most eminent dressage dynasty world-wide! His sire, Rohdiamant started his very successful career winning Champion of the 1992 stallion approvals. In 1993, Rohdiamant won the Oldenburg State Riding Horse Championships in Rastede, and was the Federal Champion in Mannheim and Vice- Champion of his stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf. His dressage scores are a record 150.01 points! In 1994, he became the State Champion Dressage Horse and Main Premium winner in Oldenburg. In 1995, Rohdiamant won both the State and Federal Championships for five year old dressage horses. As well as, Champion of the Nobilis Cup for young dressage horses in Bremen. Rohdiamant is currently rated #2 of his age group for producing Dressage horses.

Rubinstein, sire of Rohdiamant, was the winner of the optimum of Conformation Show Horses in Muenster in 1990, I-a Main Premium winner in Oldenburg, Vice-Champion German Dressage horse in Verden in 1992, Multiple Oldenburg dressage champion, series winner of the dressage competitions up to advanced class and multiple Intermediare ll and Grand Prix winner. Through his sire Rohdiamant, Roulette is directly related, both maternally and fraternally, to the Olympic Medalists Ahlerich, Rembrandt, and Amon.

The Rohdiamant pedigree is also line bred on the famous "D" line, through Dolman, sire of Duellant and his son Duft l. Duellant produced such greats as, Dux, twice winning the Olympic Gold Medal under Reiner Klimke, and the individual Bronze. Willi Schultheis riding the Duellant son, Doublette, won over 100,000 DM in competition. Duellant also produced the DLG Champion Duft II, sire of Dederick. Duft ll is the sire of Dederick, whose offspring have earned over $2,000,000.00. Dederick is the only living sire directly representing this line in the US.

On Roulette's dam's side is found the famous dressage sire Prinz Miro, Vice Reserve Champion of his stallion testing and won lc Main Premium at the Oldenburg approvals in 1982. His approved sons, Professor, Principal and the premium stallion Prinz Royal, represented his breeding area of Oldenburg in the Federal Championships at Vechta. His daughter Pershing won her class at the Federal Championships in Aachen. According to the FN breeding value rating Prinz Miro is an outstanding sire of show jumpers and dressage horses.

Prinz Miro's sire Pik Bube is a legendary, highly successful and versatile stallion, ridden by Herbert Rehbein to multiple Grand Prix wins in dressage. He produced 29 approved stallions, over 28 States Premium mares and over 130 competition horses earning over 1,056.837 DM! Pik Primaire, under Herbert Rehbein won over 129,000 DM as a dressage horse! His daughter Pikantje won the German Riding Horse Championships in 1981. His daughter Fantasia produced the German Riding Horse Champion and Approved stallion Don Primero (by Donnerhall). Roulette's grandmother, Edelalm was sired by the highly successful advanced dressage competitor and one of the most famous and sought after sires of dressage horses in Germany: Aktuell. Aktuell sired many excellent competition and breeding horses. Among them is the approved stallion, Al Martino initially ridden by Nadine Capellmann-Biffar, Klaus Balkenhol then took over. His success story meanwhile includes more than 35 wins and high placements at advanced international level up the Grand Prix Special.

Prinz Miro's dam is sired by the extraordinary Grand Prix jumping sire Ramiro Z. His daughter Ratina Z won the Olympic Team Gold Medal in Show Jumping as well as the Individual Silver. His son Lectron won the Team Bronze Medal for the US in Dressage. Vollkorn XX, the sire of Volturno, was a member of the Olympic Silver Medal Three Day Team, and also, competed in 20 international events, retiring sound!

Roulette is nearly 16.2 hands at age 2 1/2. He may mature at16.3 hands. He has excellent conformation, fabulously kind and willing temperament, three pure elastic gaits, and is a very elegant type, with superb jumping technique. Roulette is standing stud at Rosewood Hanoverians in North Carolina.
